My approach to therapy has the strong belief at its core that you know you the best. What I am here to offer is a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, and consider what you want things to be like for you. I'll ask questions, help you spot patterns and maybe gently challenge some processes to help you get back in the driver's seat.
I work with an 'integrative' approach, meaning I'm flexible and use a blend of styles to try and find the best support that works for you. We'll discuss this together and I'll check in to see how you're finding sessions.
We'll start with a short phone call to chat, briefly explore what you're looking to work through, and see if we'd be a good fit to work together — no commitment required.
The first session looks at bit different to the rest, as it's important to go over some nuances and establish what you're seeking from therapy.
We'll go over important information for our sessions together, such as understanding confidentiality, safeguarding and boundaries. This will be discussed collaboratively, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions about how sessions will work.
I'll gently ask some questions to get to know a bit more about you, and what you're looking for from therapy. While these sessions happen at the pace you're comfortable with, this can help us build a good base to start from, so I can understand what you're looking for some support with and any aims or goals you have for therapy.
50-minute online, telephone or in-person sessions, weekly. Short-term or long-term — depending on what you need.
